Comb the beard using the supplied comb

in its direction of growth.
Shorten the beard downwards from the ear to
the chin, one side after the other.
Use the cutting unit

without the comb attach-
ment

to trim the beard very short or to trim
a moustache or hairline.
Graduate the desired trim length by rotating
the lower part of the product

length position indicator

. The trim length
may be set to 5 different levels (0.8 mm/
1.1 mm/1.4 mm/1.7 mm/2.0 mm).
To trim a moustache, firstly comb it straight
downwards. Begin in the centre above the
mouth, then one side and then the other.
Cleaning and care
CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC
SHOCK! Pull the plug-in mains adapter

out
of the mains socket before cleaning the product.
Never touch the plug-in mains adapter

moist or wet hands, especially when you plug
it into the socket or pull it out of the socket.
Always keep the plug-in mains adapter

supply cord dry.

Do not submerge the product in water or any
other liquid to clean it as the product is not
waterproof. This could damage the live parts
(rechargeable batteries).
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning

Clean the housing and the charging base

using a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
Switch the product off by pressing the ON/
OFF button

once or twice, until the product
goes off.
Disconnect the supply cord from the product
and remove the plug-in mains adapter

the mains socket.
Remove the comb attachment

Wash the comb attachment

ning water if necessary.
Dry the comb attachment

Remove the cutting unit

Remove any remaining bits of hair from the
cutting unit

Apply one or two drops of blade oil

Adjust the length position indicator

to 2.0 mm
after you have finished cleaning the product,
before once more attaching the cutting unit

Place the product in the charging base
