5. Setup
5.1. Warnings and Precautions
Attention
Connect all data cables before supplying power.
Disconnect power supply before connecting or disconnecting data cables.
5.2.
Setup Example
The Melodist Mobile can be controlled with a DMX signal (see 6.2. Control Modes on page 17) through the 5-
pin DMX XLR connector IN (09). Alternatively, external trigger devices can be used through the 4-pin GPIO
Phoenix terminal connector IN for triggers (06).
Note:
If there is a DMX signal, it overrules trigger inputs 1 through 6.
To set up the Melodist Mobile, follow the steps below:
01) Connect a DMX controller to the 5-pin DMX XLR connector IN (09).01)
02) Connect the external trigger devices to the 4-pin GPIO Phoenix terminal connector IN for triggers (06) (see02)

03) Insert an SD card (see 5.3. SD Card on page 14) with WAV files into the SD card slot (05).03)
04) Connect speakers to the 3-pin XLR balanced connector OUT (Left) (07) and the 3-pin XLR balanced04)
connector OUT (Right) (08).
