CHAPTER -1: GENERAL WARNINGS
Before using your fridge freezer
• Beforesettingupyourfridgefreezer,checkforanyvisibledamage.Donotinstalloruseyourfridgefreezer
if it is damaged
• Whenusingyourfridgefreezerforthersttime,keepitinanuprightpositionforatleast3hoursbefore
pluggingintothemains.Thiswillallowecientoperationandpreventdamagetothecompressor.
• Youmaynoticealightodourwhenusingyourfridgefreezerforthersttime.Thisisperfectlynormalandwill
fade away as the fridge starts to cool.
Information about new-generation cooling technology
Fridgefreezerswithnew-generationcoolingtechnologyhaveadierentworkingsystemthan
staticfridgefreezers.Innormalfridgefreezers,humidairenteringthefreezerandthewater
vapouremanatingfromthefoods,turnsintofrostinthefreezercompartment.Inordertomelt
thisfrost,inotherwordsdefrost,thefridgehastobeunplugged.Inordertokeepfoodscold
during the defrosting period, the user must store the food elsewhere and the user must clear the
remaining ice and accumulated frost.
Thesituationiscompletelydierentinfreezercompartmentsequippedwithnew-generation
cooling technology. With the aid of fan, cold and dry air is blown throughout the freezer

Air emitted by the fan located at the top of refrigerator compartment is cooled while passing
through the gap behind the air duct. At the same time, air is blown out through the holes on
the air duct so that cooling process is successfully completed in the refrigerator compartment.
Holes on the air duct are designed for even air distribution throughout the compartment.
Sincenoairpassesbetweenthefreezerandrefrigeratorcompartment,odourswillnotmix.
Asaresult,yourfridgewithnew-generationcoolingtechnologyiseasytouseanditoersyou
an access to a huge volume and aesthetic appearance.
Installation Information
Before unpacking and manoeuvering your fridge freezer, please take some time to familiarise yourself with the following
information.
• Positionyourfridgefreezeroutofdirectsunlightandawayfromanyheatsourcesuchasaradiator.
• Yourapplianceshouldbeatleast50cmawayfromstoves,gasovensandheatercores,andshouldbeatleast
5 cm away from electrical ovens.
• Donotexposeyourfridgefreezertomoistureorrain.
• Yourfridgefreezershouldbepositionedatleast20mmawayfromanotherfreezer.
• Clearanceofatleast150mmisrequiredatthetopandbackofyourfridgefreezer.Donotplaceanythingon
topofyourfridgefreezer.
• Forsafeoperation,itisimportantthatyourfridgefreezerisseatedsecurelyandbalanced.Theadjustablefeet
areusedtolevelyourfridgefreezer.Makesurethatyourapplianceislevelbeforeplacinganyfoodstusinsideit.
• We recommend that you wipe all shelving and trays with a cloth soaked in warm water mixed with a teaspoon
of bicarbonate of soda before use. After cleaning, rinse with warm water and dry.
• Install using the plastic spacer guides, which can be seen on the condenser at the rear of
theapplianceTurn90degrees(asshowninthediagram).Thiswillkeepthecondenserfrom
touching the wall.
• Refrigeratorshouldbeplacedagainstawallwithaclearancedistancenotexceeding75mm.
