USE
The SCHUBERTH F130 reghter helmet is available in one helmet shell size
and approved for a head size range of 53 cm to 62 cm.
Adjusting the head width
By turning the rotary knob clockwise or
counterclockwise you can make the head width
narrower or wider.
Adjusting the wearing height
The wearing net (wearing height!) is adjusted by
moving the two rear net holders. After loosening
the net holder (D) from the guide straps (E),
itcan be adjusted to the required wearing height
and fixed in place by snapping into the guide
straps’ holes (E). Please make sure that the
studsare firmly pressed in.
Adjusting the chin and neck strap
The chin strap’s quick release ensures easy opening and fastening of the chin
strap. Grasp the helmet with both hands on the chin-neck strap and pull it
over your head from the forehead.
Fasten the chin strap with the quick release fastener. The neck strap must be
tight under the ears and at the back of the head. A double buckle is provided
for adjusting the length of the neck strap. The chinstrap must be snug under
the chin. If necessary, the chin strap’s length can be adjusted and fixed to the
Velcro fastener.
WARNING:
The SCHUBERTH F130 helmet complies with the
requirements of the DIN EN 443:2008 standard on the retention system if
the chin strap supplied by the manufacturer has been worn and adjusted
inaccordance with these instructions.

equipped with third-party components and accessories of any kind. Incorrect

changes to the safety helmet impair the protective function and lead to its

Service life – Firefighter helmet
This helmet’s service life is influenced by the type of material (s) used in its
construction, as well as the environment in which the helmet is used and
stored (according to EN 443: 2008).
The F130 with a painted helmet shell made of advanced, high-temperature
resistant thermoset material (High-Temp-Fibre) has an excellent ageing
resistance and is not subject to any changes due to sunlight (UV radiation).
The lifetime of these helmets is limited mainly by mechanical, thermal and
chemical influences. Thermosets (such as the High-Temp-Fibre used) are
generally considered to be very resistant to these stresses.
With regard to their ability to withstand weather-related, chemical and
thermal effects, they are significantly more effective than thermoplastic
materials.
