8 Operation
8.1 Charge battery
WARNING
Observe the following information to reduce hazards:
– Never leave batteries to charge unsupervised!
– Remove rechargeable batteries from the charger after charging.
–
Do not over-charge batteries! Observe the maximum charging times. These charging times only
apply to discharged batteries. Inserting a charged or partially charged battery multiple times leads
to overloading and cell damage. Do not leave batteries in the battery charger for multiple days.
– Never use or charge batteries if you suspect that they were last charged more than 12 months
ago. The probability is high that the battery is already dangerously damaged (deep discharge).
Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 4 °C to 40°C.
* = not included in the scope of delivery!

4. The LED strip (3) lights up green when charging is complete. The battery* is ready for use.
ATTENTION
– If the red LED strips flash, the battery has overheated and cannot be charged.
– If the LED strip flashes red and green alternately, the battery is defective.
5. Pull the battery* out of the battery mount (1).
6. Wait at least 15 min until a new charging process. Therefore, pull the mains plug out of the outlet.
9 Electrical connection
The connection complies with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. The customer's mains
connection as well as the extension cable used must also comply with these regulations.
9.1 Important information
If the battery overheats, the charging process is terminated and the battery charger is switched off.
After the battery has cooled down, the charging process can be resumed.
Connection type Y
If it is necessary to replace the mains connection cable, this must be done by the manufacturer or
their representative to avoid safety hazards.
