9.4 Fitting/removing the saw blade guard
(g. 13+14)
1. Place the saw blade guard (2) on the riving knife
(3) from above, so that the screw with the knurled
nut(27) sits rmly in the hole of the riving knife (3).
Attention! To be able to place the saw blade guard
(2) on the riving knife (3), the screw with knurled
nut (27) must be moved so that the smaller shaft
diameter ts into the slotted hole in the riving knife
(3).
2. Do not tighten the knurled nut too much. The saw
blade guard (2) must remain free to move.
Attention! When tightening, make sure that the
larger shaft diameter of the screw ts into the hole
in the riving knife (3).
3. Disassembly takes place in reverse order.
m WARNING: Before starting sawing, the saw blade
guard (2) must be lowered onto the material to be sawn.
After tting, check that the saw blade guard (2) is func-
tioning properly. Lift the saw blade guard and then
release it. The saw blade guard should automatically
move back to its starting position.
9.5 Mounting / adjusting the Riving Knife
Insert the battery (Fig. 13-15)
Attention! The riving knife is in the transport posi-
tion. Before operating the product it must be set to
working position rst!
Caution! Remove the mains plug! The setting of
the saw blade (4) must be checked whenever a
blade has been replaced.
1. Inserting the batteries (Figure 13a):
- Turn the laser on/o󰀨 switch (34) to the 0 position
(laser o󰀨).
- Remove the battery compartment cover (36), by
loosening the screw (35). Now remove the battery
compartment cover (35) by bending at the side.
- Insert the batteries supplied (type AAA), ensuring
the correct polarity (see Figure 13a).
- Put the battery compartment cover (36) back in
position and tighten it with the screw (35).
Notes concerning the batteries:
- If you are not going to use the laser for a pro-
longed period, please remove the batteries from
the battery compartment. Otherwise, the leaking
of battery uid might damage the device.
4. Fasten the table supports (24) loosely to the table
width extensions (6) with the hexagonal bolts (a),
the washers (c) and the nuts (e). Loosely tighten
the legs (19) and the table supports (24) onto the
housing of the circular table saw with the hexago-
nal bolts (a).
5. Now screw the four centre struts (20a, 20b) loose-
ly onto the legs (19). Use the coach bolts (b), the
washers (c), the spring washers (d) and the nuts
(e) (g. 8).
6. Screw on the stands (22) at the holes in the rear
legs (19). Assembly materials: 2 coach bolts (b),
the washers (c), spring washers (d) and nuts (e)
respectively (g. 9).
ATTENTION: Both stands must be fastened to the
fastening points (23) on the rear of the machine
(g. 9).
7. Align the table width extension (6) level with the
saw table.
8. Now tighten all screws for the legs (19) and the
table width extension (6).
9. Now plug the rubber feet (21) onto the legs (19)
(g. 10).
10. Place the circular table saw on the machine stand
(11).
9.2 Fitting the guide rail (g. 11+12)
1. Fit the coach bolts (b) in the respective drilled
holes in the work table and the table extensions
(6), by securing these from the rear with the ange
nuts (e).
2. Tighten the ange nuts (e) lightly.
3. Connect the two guide rails (15, 15a).
4. Slide the connected rails over the guide nut on the
rear, over the coach bolts (b), until they sit central
to the table surface.
9.3 Aligning the guide rail (g. 11+12)
1. Turn the saw blade to the maximum position out of
the saw table, by turning the crank (10) clockwise
until it reaches the stop.
2. Position the parallel stop with an opened eccentric
lever (13) on the guide rails (15) on the saw table
and secure these in the 0 position by pressing the
eccentric lever (13) fully downwards.
3. Slide the connected guide rails su󰀩ciently far to
the left, until the parallel stop reaches the right out-
side of the saw blade.
4. Now tighten the ange nuts (e) rmly to x this po-
sition.
5. Now t the end caps (15b) on both sides of the rail.
