8.1.1 Attaching the nozzle
1. Attach the desired nozzle to the suction connection (1)
on the collection bucket (2).
2. Remove the nozzle by pulling it forwards out of the
suction connection (1).
9 Operation
The cordless hand-held vacuum cleaner is equipped with
a sturdy, transparent plastic bucket for collecting dirt.
Please refer to the following descriptions for the function
of the controls.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
ATTENTION
The product is part of the 20V IXES series and may on-
ly be operated with batteries of this series. Batteries
may only be charged with battery chargers of this se-
ries. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.
9.1 Inserting/removing the battery (6)
into/from the battery mount (7)

Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (6) into the battery mount (7). The
battery (6) clicks into place audibly.
Removing the battery
1. Press the unlock button (12) of the battery (6) and re-
move it from the battery mount (7).
9.2 Switching the product on/off
(Fig. 1)
ATTENTION
Do not use without a filter!
Switching on
1. Switch the product on by pressing the on/off switch
(4).
Switching off
1. Switch off the product by pressing the on/off switch (4)
again.
9.3 Overload protection
Note:
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself off.
After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor can be
switched back on again.
9.4 Emptying the collection bucket (2)
(fig. 1 + 4)
WARNING
Empty and clean the product before and after
use to avoid the accumulation of materials
that could pose a fire risk in the product.
The hand-held vacuum cleaner can be damaged if the
collection bucket (2) is too full of dust.
1. Remove the collection bucket (2) by pressing the re-
lease button (3) and removing the collection bucket
(2).
2. Carefully pull the filter cartridge (13) out of the collec-
tion bucket (2).
3. Empty the collection bucket (2).
4. Clean the collection bucket (2) with a damp cloth* if
necessary.
Clean the filter cartridge (13) if necessary as de-
scribed under 10.1.1.
5. Insert the filter cartridge (13) into the collection bucket
(2) again.
Due to its shape, the filter cartridge (13) can only be
inserted into the collection bucket (2) in one position.
6. Attach the collection bucket (2) to the product again.
Place the collection bucket (2) on the underside of the
product. Ensure that the nose is positioned in the re-
cess on the collection bucket (2) and snap it into the
release on the top of the product.

10 Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
Have maintenance and repair tasks that are
not described in this operating manual, car-
ried out by a specialist workshop. Use only
original spare parts.
There is a risk of accident! Always perform
maintenance and cleaning work with the bat-
tery removed.
There is a danger of injury! Let the Product
cool down before all maintenance and clean-
ing tasks. Elements of the engine are hot.
There is a danger of injury and burning!
The product can start unexpectedly and cause injuries.
– Remove the battery.
– Allow the product to cool down.
– Remove the tool attachment.
10.1 Cleaning
1. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids
for cleaning.
2. Do not splash the product with water.
3. Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth* or blow it off with
compressed air* at low pressure. We recommend that
you clean the product directly after every use.
4. Ventilation openings must always be free.
5. Do not use any cleaning products or solvents; they
could attack the plastic parts of the product. Make
sure that no water can penetrate the product interior.
