7.1.1 Motor fault
Check:
- that the plug is correctly inserted into the power outlet;
- that the main power switch is on.
7.1.2 Insufficient hood extraction capacity and noisy operation
Check:
- that the exhaust duct dimensions are adequate for the application;
- that the exhaust duct is not blocked or obstructed;
- that the cross section of the air duct (from hood to flue) is 150 mm. A smaller diameter air duct may
impair motor performance;
- if the flue chimney is equipped with a mosquito screen, the air flow rate may be reduced; in this case,
remove the screen;
- if the flue chimney cowl has fixed and steeply angled vanes, it should be removed;
- if the air flow is obstructed, equip the flue chimney with a cowl having mobile vanes;
- make sure the filters are clean;
- make sure the filters are less than six months old, otherwise they must be replaced.
7.1.3 Lighting fault
Check:
- the main switch is functioning correctly.
