MMU 3100 MAIN UNIT DESCRIPTION
MMU 3100 main units do not have forced ventilation,
therefore P/AER-1V front ventilation panels need to be
added above and below each unit to guarantee proper
cooling.
The MMU 3100 main unit includes all necessary features for a conference system having
up to 80 microphones.
The mic / line AUX INPUT is useful to connect (for instance) a lectern microphone (even
if ‘phantom’ powered) or a wireless microphone system for public interview. This input
can be set to be mixed or with priority over all microphones (chairmen and delegates)
and can be activated through a dry closing contact or by the automatic signal detection
(named ‘VOX’ function).
The MMU 3100 amplifier provides max. 80 W on its 100 V / 70 V output for the
connection of additional loudspeakers installed in the room / hall. The MIXER OUT (line
level output) can be used to connect an additional external amplifier of another sound
reinforcement system.
Both microphones and the AUX input have a mid boost control (frequency: 2 kHz) to
increase the voice ‘presence’ and a high-pass filter useful to improve speech intelligibility.
It includes a recording output (REC OUT), a playback input (PLAY IN) and a dedicated
input and output for teleconference.
The PLAY IN input has independent bass / treble controls.
The front panel LEDs indicate the device state (ON, PROT), the AUX IN priority activation
(PRIOR) and the signal / peak level (SIG/PK).
