About this guide

This Product Manual includes instructions for setting up and operating the available hardware versions of the

Vess A3340 Storage Appliance for Video Surveillance. These models include the Vess A3340s, Vess A3340d and

Vess A3340 PoE. For convenience, these models are referred to as simply Vess A3340 when describing features

or operations common to all models. The specic model name is used only when it is necessary to distinguish

one model from the other available models.

Please pay special attention to the warnings, cautions, important notices and notes contained throughout this

guide. See the explanations of each below.

Also included are four levels of notices:

Warning
