To determine which knob controls which burner, check the position symbol
next to the control knob.
1. Press the control knob of the required burner and turn it anticlockwise to
the maximum power
setting.
While the control knob is still pressed down, sparks will be produced on
the burner. The flame will ignite.
In case of ignition failure, you can use any type of lighter or flame
(cigarette lighter, matches, etc.) and bring it close to the burner. CARE
MUST BE TAKEN when using this method.
2. Release the control knob.
3. Turn the control knob to the required setting.
Carefully watch foods being fried at a high power setting, which may cause
ignition.
Always heat fat slowly and watch as it heats.
Foods for frying should be as dry as possible. Frost on frozen foods or
moisture on fresh foods can cause hot fat to bubble up and over the sides
of the pan.
Never try to move a pan of hot fat. Wait until the fat is completely cool.
Risk of deflagration!
If after 15 seconds the flame does not ignite, switch off the burner and open a
nearby window or door to ventilate the room. Wait at least 1 minute before
trying to switch the burner back on.
If you cannot light the burner even after several attempts, check the cap and
crown are in the correct position.
