Drawing bobbin thread
5. Pull out about 4 inches of thread from the new
bobbin, making sure that the bobbin turns
clockwise, or you will not have the correct tension
when you begin to sew.
6. Hold the needle thread loosely with your left
hand and turn the handwheel counterclockwise to
wards you, first lowering the needle, and
continuing to turn the hand wheel until the
needle comes to its highest position. In so doing,
the needle thread will pickup the bobbin thread
and pull it through the hale under the needle.
7. Lightly pull up the needle thread and pickup the
bobbin thread which will appear through the
needle plate slot.
8. Make sure the needle thread is threaded
through the groove of the presser foot, and pull
both threads to the back of the machine, leaving
about a 4 inch tail.
9. Replace the bobbin compartment cover.
