Guidance for storing fresh food
Storing into the fresh food compartment
• Keep your fridge at recommended
temperature level as 4
°C.
• Foodtobestoredshouldbeproperlysealed
to avoidodourortastealterations.
• Donotstoreexcessivequantitiesoffood
inside yourrefrigerator.Leavespaces
between foods toallowcoldairflowing
aroundthem to achieve abetterandmore
homogeneous cooling.
• Toallowshorterdooropenings,foodseaten
dailyshouldbestoredatthefrontoftheshelf.
• Leaveagapbetweenfoodsandtheinner
walls, allowingairtoflow.Ifyoustorefoods
against the rearwallfoodscouldfreeze
against rear wall.
• Hot,cookedfoodmustbecooleddown
atroomtemperaturebeforestoringinthe
appliance.Then,warmfoodcanbestoredin
the lowershelvesofyourfridge.Pleasedo
not put warmfoodnearbyhighlyperishable
foods.
• Thawyourfrozenfoodinthefreshfood
compartment.Thisway,youcanusethe
frozen foodtocooldownthefreshfood
compartment andsaveenergy.
• Ifunripetropicalfruits(mango,melons,
papaya, banana,pineapple)arestored in
refrigerator, ageingprocesscanbe
acceleratedanditisnot advisablesinceit
causesshorterstoragetimes. However,the
ripeningofstronglygreenfruits
(apple,pear) can bepromotedforacertain
periodinfridge compartment.
• On
ions, garlic, ginger and other root
vegetables should be stored at dark and cool

om conditions, not in the fridge.
• When a spoiled food inside refrigerator is
realized, it should be disposed. When rotten
food is noticed, please clean inner liner or
accessories which were in contact to prevent
contamination.
• Large pots of food, such as soups or stews
can be divided into shallow containers to

uickly cool in the refrigerator. Large pieces

f cooked meat and whole poultry should

e divided into smaller pieces for the same
purpose.
• Do
notstoreunpackedfoodsnearbyeggs.
• Keepfruitsandvegetablesseparateand
store likewithlike:appleswithapples,
carrotswith carrots.Fruitsandvegetables
giveoffdifferent gasesthatcancauseothers
todeteriorate.
• Takeleafygreensoutofplasticbags,wrap
theminapapertowelorteatowelbefore
storedinrefrigerator.Donotforgettodry
them iftheyarerinsedorwetbeforestoring.

dryingoutinperforatedorunsealedplastic
bagstomaintainamoistenvironmentyetstill
allowairtocirculate.
