Malfunction overview
The following chart shows possible malfunctions and the necessary
measures.
Symptom
Possible cause
Corrective measure
Tacker is losing air.
The fastening screws
are loose.
Tighten fastening screws.
A seal is defective.
Contact Service (see
page 34).
Fasteners are not driven
in completely.
The operating
pressure is too low.
Increase the operating
pressure.
The driver tip on the
tacker is worn.
Contact Service (see
page 34).
Triggering is not
possible.
The operating
pressure is too low.
Increase operating
pressure of compressed
air system to the
maximum permissible
level (see page 15).
Then actuate the trigger
several times.
Moving parts are stuck
together with lubricant
following a long
storage period.
Clean tacker and oil it
again.
Set maximum operating
pressure.
Then actuate the trigger
several times.
After triggering, set the
desired operating
pressure.
Otherwise contact
Service (see page 34).
Triggering without a
fastener being driven in
The magazine is
contaminated.
Clean the magazine.
The wrong fasteners
were loaded in the
magazine
Empty the magazine.
Fill the magazine with
PREBENA fasteners
(see page 17).
