Angle adjustment of the grinding belt housing
(Fig. 9 + 10)
Your belt and disc sander can sand both vertically
and horizontally. Depending on the workpiece, the
workpiece support (4) can be used for either horizon-
tal or vertical grinding operation.
• Loosen the screw (B) with the Allen key (14).
• Set the grinding belt housing to the desired posi-
tion.
• Re-tighten the screw (B).
Bevelled edge (Fig. 1 + 4)
The grinding table (7) can be swivelled from 0° to 45°
for bevel grinding.
To tilt the table:
• Loosen the clamping screw (6) by turning it an-
ti-clockwise.
• Set the grinding table (7) to the desired angle.
• Tighten the clamping screw (6) again by turning it
clockwise.
Switching on and o (Fig. 1)
• Press the green button (5) to switch on the ma-
chine.
• Press the red button (5) to switch o the device.
m Warning!
Do not touch the grinding wheel (9) or the grinding
belt (1) when switching on and o. There is a dan-
ger of injury!
Surface sanding with the grinding belt (Fig. 11)
• Hold the workpiece (C) rmly and keep your ngers
away from the grinding belt.
• Hold the end rmly against the tool support (4) and
move the workpiece evenly over the grinding belt.
Grinding with the grinding wheel (Fig. 12)
• Hold the workpiece (C) rmly and keep your ngers
away from the grinding wheel.
• Only work with the grinding wheel (9) in combina-
tion with the grinding table (7).
Note:
Be especially careful when grinding very thin work-
pieces and when grinding particularly long workpiec-
es. Apply only enough pressure to allow the grinding
belt to remove the material.
Using the transverse stop (Fig. 12)
• The use of the transverse stop (8) is recommended
for grinding small faces.
• The transverse stop (8) can be adjusted by loosen-
ing the clamping screw (D).
• The use of the transverse stop is only permitted in
conjunction with the grinding table (7).
• Option 2:
- Remove the workpiece support (4) from the
grinding belt housing. (Fig. 5)
- Insert the grinding table (7) into the recess on
the grinding belt housing and secure it with the
clamping screw (6) and the washer (13). (Fig. 6)
Fitting the transverse stop (Fig. 7)
Insert the transverse stop (8) into the groove of the
grinding table (7).
Attaching the machine to the workbench (Fig. 8)
It is necessary to secure the machine to a work-
bench or other stable surface before using it for the
rst time. When tting the machine on a workbench,
holes should be drilled through the support surface
of the workbench.
• Mark the places on the workbench where the ma-
chine is to be tted and use the holes (A) in the
base as a template for the hole pattern.
• Drill the holes through the workbench.
• Place the machine on the workbench and align the
holes in the base with the holes in the workbench.
• Insert the screws (not included in the scope of de-
livery) and tighten them rmly with spring washers
and hexagon nuts (not included in the scope of de-
livery).
NOTE:
All screws should be inserted from above. Fit the
spring washers and hexagon nuts from the underside
of the workbench.
Connecting the suction system (Fig. 1)
Ensure that a dust extraction system is connected
to the extraction port at the desired working position
(12.1 / 12.2).
9. Operation
Adjusting the grinding belt guide (Fig. 1)
• Plug in the machine.
To check the grinding belt run:
• Switch the on/o switch (5) on and immediately o
again.
• If the grinding belt (1) tends to slip o the deection
roller or the drive roller, the grinding belt (1) is not
running properly.
To adjust the run of the grinding belt:
• Turn the belt adjustment screw (2) clockwise to ad-
just the grinding belt (1) in the left direction.
• Turn the belt adjustment screw (2) anti-clockwise
to adjust the grinding belt (1) in the right direction.
• Switch the on/o switch (5) on and immediately o
again and pay attention to the movement of the belt.
• Adjust the belt adjustment screw (2) if necessary
