4.2.4 Global IP Configuration
The Global IP Configuration encompasses both IP Route Configuration and DNS Configuration. This process involves setting
the IP Route Mode and DNS Server, as well as displaying the current information on the Industrial Managed Switch. The
screens in Figure 4-2-4-1 and Figure 4-2-4-2 appear.

The IP Route Configuration and DNS Configuration Settings include the following fields:

Description
Router Mode
Configure the IP stack to function as a router. When Route Mode is enabled, IP
traffic is routed between all interfaces. Conversely, when Route Mode is disabled,
IP traffic between interfaces will not be routed.
DNS Server From
DHCP
Configure whether the DNS server information is provided by the DHCP server.
DNS Server 1/2
Provide the IP address of the DNS server in dotted decimal notation.

The IP Information includes the following fields:
