2.5.2 Installation of the extractor hood
INSTALLATION STEPS
❖ The minimum distance between the extractor hood and a hob must be at least
65.00 cm.
❖ The maximum distance between the extractor hood and a hob must not exceed
80.00 cm.
1. Find a suitable position for the extractor hood.
2. Measure and mark the positions of the five drill holes required (two for the inner
chimney bracket and three for installing the housing of the extractor hood on the
wall). Ensure that the minimum distances are observed.
Note that the position of the screw holes for the fixing of the inner chimney
bracket, also represents the highest point of the entire chimney.
3. Drill three 8 mm holes to fix the wall bracket (s. fig. below). The wall bracket
must be levelled. Check the horizontal alignment with a spirit level. Tighten the
suspending bracket using the supplied screws and dowels on the wall.
