9. When the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an
authorized aftersales service or a qualified professional only.
WARNING!
1. D
isconnect the appliance from the mains before you clean or maintain it.
2. The appliance must always be grounded and protected corresponding to the
requirements of your local energy supplier. The main current circuit must be
equipped with a safety shut-down device.
3. When operating a gas cooker, heat and damp is conducted into the room where the
cooker is installed in. A proper ventilation is required. Keep ventilation openings free
or install a cooker hood with an exhaust conduction. Ask a qualified professional if
in doubt what to do.
4. Disconnect the appliance from the mains and close the gas stop valve when the
appliance is not in use.
5. If the control knobs become difficult to turn, please contact the aftersales service.
6. Electric connections and wires must not contact any parts of the appliance which
become hot.
7. Do not use an extension cord, because it can become hot and catch fire.
8. Do not operate the appliance while it is in contact with water.
9. Do not operate the appliance while your hands are wet.
10. Do not carry out any modifications to your appliance.
11. Unattended cooking with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire. NEVER
try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover flame
e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.
12. Take care when frying food in hot oil or fat as overheated splashes can easily ignite.
13. As soon as any liquid starts boiling turn down the flame to a setting which barely
keeps the liquid simmering.
14. The room the appliance is installed in must be dry and well-ventilated. When the
appliance is installed, an easy access to all control elements is required.
15. Adjacent furniture and all materials used for installation must be able to resist a
temperature of min. 100

C during operation.
16. Do not install the appliance in rooms or at areas which contain flammable substances
as petrol, gas or paint. This warning also refers to the vapour these substances
release.
17. Cooker-hoods should be installed according to their manufacturers' instructions.
18. Do not install the appliance near to curtains or upholstered furniture. RISK OF
FIRE!
19. Never use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance. The steam will damage the
appliance seriously. RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
