❖ Adjust the cooking pot size to the diameter of the cooking zone used or the flame
of the burner (for gas appliances).
❖ Switch the cooker hood off after cooking or use the time-delayed switch-off
function (depending on model).
❖ Only use the lighting units when the appliance is in operation. Do not use the
lighting units for room lighting.
❖ Switch off the appliance light at the end of cooking.
❖ Always adjust the power level to the intensity of the cooking vapors
generated. Only use the appliance's highest motor speed (highest / maximum
power level / booster level) when there is a very high concentration of cooking
vapors. A lower power level always means lower energy consumption.
❖ Ensure sufficient supply air so that the cooker hood works efficiently and with
low operating noise.
❖ Select a higher power level early on in the event of intense cooking vapors.
Cooking vapors that have already spread throughout the kitchen may make it
necessary to operate the extractor hood for longer.
❖ As clean filters increase the efficiency of the appliance, clean the aluminum grease
filter(s) regularly.
❖ Replace the charcoal filters (only use in recirculation mode) regularly. Follow the
instructions of the carbon filter manufacturer.
