INSTALLING THE CARBON FILTERS
This chapter only describes a common installation of carbon filters in a
standard extractor hood. Modifications for different appliance models are
possible.
The number of aluminum grease filters depends on the extractor hood model.
The number of aluminum grease filters for your appliance model is specified in
the "TECHNICAL DATA" section. A standard appliance model with only one
grease filter is used here as an example.
7. Remove the aluminum grease filter: Press the grease filter towards the back of
the appliance and pull it downwards at the same time to release it from its catch
(see also chapter 6.1 CLEANING THE GREASE FILTER). Then remove the grease
filter.
The motor of the appliance, on which the charcoal filters are installed, is located
behind the grease filter.
8. The CARBON FILTERS are attached to both sides of the motor.
9. Place the CARBON FILTER (2) on the motor (1) and turn it clockwise (3) until it is
properly and firmly seated on the motor (see illustration below).

CLOCKWISE ROTATION:
The CARBON FILTER is placed on the motor and turned slightly to
the right until it is firmly seated on the motor.
10. Repeat the process on the other side of the motor.
11. If you want to uninstall the CHARCOAL FILTERS, carefully turn them to the left to
loosen them and remove them.
