RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS
1. Unplug the DMP1616’s power cable.
2. Switch POLE 7 on the rear panel DIP Switches to the
ON position.
3. Replace the power cable and power on the DMP1616.
Wait for the start up procedure to complete.
4. Switch POLE 7 to OFF.
5. Now your DMP1616 is restored to the factory default
settings.
NOTE: A factory restore is particularly helpful in the event that
user names and passwords are forgotten. Restoring to factory
default settings will restore user names back to default values.
GENERAL SETTINGS
FIRMWARE UPDATE
When performing a rmware update, a few steps need to
be followed. First of all, set the rst pole of the DIP switch
to the upper-most position.
A connection needs to be established between the
DMP1616 system and the Windows remote software.
After this is done, open the “Flash Programmer” pull-down
menu at the top of the Audio Device Workshop software.
Select “Launch Flash Programmer” from the menu. Here
you can select the DMP1616 rmware (found on the
Asystems webpage) and begin the rmware update. Do
not turn the computer or DMP1616 o󰀨 until the rmware
update process has completed.
HOW TO SET THE SYSTEM IP ADDRESS
Connecting the DMP1616 to a computer for remote operation requires the user to enter an IP address for the unit. There are
two controls that help determined the IP address of the DMP1616 matrix processor. The rst is the UNIT ID rotary control,
that lets you select 0 – 9 and AF. The second is the DIP switch located directly beside the rotary switch. The 3rd and 4th
poles of the DIP switch can be used to set a numerical value between 0 and 3. These combine with the UNIT ID rotary switch
to form a hexadecimal value for the last value of the IP address (as indicated below).
The congurable range for the last digit is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E and F.
