Terminal inputs and outputs are supplied with voltage via the segment circuit.
The voltage for the segment circuit can be tapped from the main circuit. In addition,
some terminals tap the voltage directly from the main circuit.

Depending on the terminal function, not all of the jumpers listed in Figure 8-2 are
present on a terminal. Please refer to the circuit diagram of the terminal to see
which jumpers are available for a terminal and how they are internally connected.
The circuit diagram is shown in the terminal-specific data sheet.
