Figure B-9 shows the F-Parameters of the safe PROFINET gateway in the device

parameterization editor of the SafetyProg software.

– F_SIL Maximum achievable safety integrity level

The safety integrity level shown in Figure B-9 on page 78 (F_SIL = SIL 3) is the maximum

safety integrity level that can be achieved with the device. The safety integrity level may

differ depending on the safe process data transmitted and the implemented safety

function. For information on possible safety integrity levels, please refer to the device-

specific user documentation for all devices involved in the safety function.

– F_Source_Add PROFIsafe source address of the higher-level PROFINET IO

controller with safe PROFINET controller (SPNS)

– F_Dest_Add PROFIsafe destination address of the safe PROFINET gateway

– F_WD_Time Monitoring time (watchdog time) for the safe PROFINET gateway

WARNING:

Select a suitable watchdog time (F_WD_Time) (see Figure B-9 on page 78) to ensure the

safety and availability of your system/machine.

Select a watchdog time that is long enough to ensure the safety of your system/machine

with maximum possible availability.
