PROFINET gateway in software tools

B 2.1 PC Worx – General

The safe PROFINET gateway is inserted as a PROFINET IO device in the PC Worx projects

for the PROFINET systems that are to be coupled.

Please note that the safe PROFINET gateway is split into two devices in PC Worx.

If the safe PROFINET gateway is not available in the PC Worx device catalog as shown in

Figure B-3 on page 74 (A), you must first import the corresponding device description files

(FDCML files) in PC Worx (see Figure B-2).

Insert one part in the PC Worx project of PROFINET system 1 and the other part in the

PC Worx project of PROFINET system 2. The procedure is identical for both parts of the

safe PROFINET gateway. This example describes the insertion into the PC Worx project of

PROFINET system 1.
