2 Introduction
The ERS 1000 Emalytics Room Switch is a compact operator panel for typical room func-
tions such as lighting, shading, and temperature settings. It enables intuitive operation via a
color display and four short-stroke buttons with assigned multicolor LEDs. In addition, the
device can be equipped with sensors. The device is installed in a 55 mm flush-type socket
and integrated into the building IT infrastructure via Ethernet.
The ERS 1000 room operating unit is basically designed for integration with the
ILC 2050 BI Emalytics building controller. Alternatively, integration can be done on an
Emalytics Supervisor station.
The room operating unit is perfectly integrated into the Emalytics building automation solu-
tion. The different scope of functions can be fully configured in Emalytics and thus easily
adapted to the conditions of the respective room.
The manual describes the integration of the switch

in Emalytics. The following steps must
be carried out:
1. Installing the software
2. Starting up the switch
3. Configuring the switch
4. Connecting the data points of the switch to the actuators to be controlled
The application software of the switch is available to the user in the form of a Niagara tem-
plate. Each switch in the network is connected to an instance of this template. The individual
configuration of a switch is done using a series of CSV lists. This document describes the
use of the lists. The CSV lists are entered directly into individual configuration fields of the
application components. For easier use, the most important configuration options are
added as parameters of the template. They can be found in the “templateConfig” subfolder
of each switch.
Quick reference for configuration
The general overview of the configuration values for icon display can be found in the appen-
dix (Section 8.5, “Icon configuration overview”).
A single switch can address a large number of sensors and actuators, depending on
the requirements. The template provides all data points that a switch can handle.
Each data point counts towards the data point license of the station. Therefore, it is
advisable to delete all data points that are not needed from the instance of the switch.
This is indicated again separately at the relevant sections in this document.
