3 Starting up the ERS 1000
The function of the switch is divided into the following function groups:
1. Lighting (switch or dimmer)
2. Blinds (hanging height and rotation)
3. Electric windows
4. Manually operated vertical shutters and window coverings
5. Room temperature settings
6. Selecting scenes
7. Information screens in different layouts
8. Toggle buttons for general use (settings and switching actuators)
9. Standby screen with configurable content
The various configured function groups are operated by navigating to the corresponding
screens on the switch. A distinction is made between direct navigation from the home
screen and sequential navigation. Direct navigation can be configured for up to four function
groups. If a switch with a large variety of functions is to be configured, sequential navigation
is used. For this, the navigation button is always located at the bottom right. The next navi-
gation destination is always displayed by the corresponding icon.
The number of available actuators for each function group (lighting circuits, blinds, and elec-
tric windows) can be configured between one and five actuators each. Optionally, simulta-
neous control of actuators belonging to one function group (group function) is also provided.
Each actuator can be given a marking on the display.

Direct navigation to the lighting feature (top left button) leads to the lighting screen. From
there, the user navigates directly back via the home button (bottom right).
