Load is too large. Check the motor data and the current setting.

Check the motor and the mechanics.

Acceleration/deceleration time and working

cycle are too short.

Increase the setting values for the ramp time parameter.

The CONTACTRON Speed Starter

detects an output current that is

too high at SPEED1/2.

8 Olsp2 - Device overload error at Speed2 SPEED2 speed starter overload

(oLSP2)

Cause Remedial measures

Load is too heavy. Reduce the load.

Use a device with a higher performance class.

Ramp time is too short. Turn the rotary switch to the RAMP position to increase the setting

value.

Performance class of

CONTACTRON Speed Starter is too low.

Check the drive.

Use a device with a higher performance class.

Overload during low-speed operation Reduce the load during low-speed operation.

Use a device with a higher performance class.

Decrease the carrier frequency of the carrier frequency parameter.

Torque compensation is too large. Decrease the torque compensation gain (refer to parameters “Start

boost” on page 83 and “Voltage lift” on page 84) until the output

current reduces and the motor does not stall.
