10.5.17 PIN code

Use this option to prevent persons from changing parameters without authorization.

NOTE:

Keep the set PIN code in a safe place. If it is nevertheless lost, you can reset the de-

vice using master PIN code 2109. All device settings are reset to the default set-

tings. The set speeds are set to 0 Hz.

10.5.18 Speed factor enable, speed factor 1, speed factor 2

As of version 1.03, options 19 and 20 are only visible in the options menu of

the CONTACTRON Speed Starter if option 18. SF - speed factor enable is

activated.

The “Speed factor enable” option allows the user to use a third or fourth speed after ac-

tivation, using the controller's duty cycle or optionally by wiring the reset input. Either two

speeds per direction of rotation or four speeds for one direction of rotation are available

after activation and parameterization. The speeds are parameterized in the options menu

items 19 and 20.

Speed 1 and Speed 2 with the set direction of rotation form the basis for Speed 3 and

Speed 4. By means of the factorization, all speeds can be mapped (see Figure 10-9 “Ex-

ample for speed factor signal via reset input” and Figure 10-10 “Example for speed factor

signal via duty cycle”).
