8.2 Subsequently inserting or removing DC power

modules

DANGER: Danger to life from damaged plug-in contacts

Check the plug-in contacts of the DC power modules for external damage.

If the grounding contact is damaged, there is a risk of electric shock from discharge

current.

WARNING: Risk of crushing when inserting or removing the DC power mod-

ules

There is a danger of crushing your fingers while inserting or removing the DC power

modules.

Push or pull the DC power module in parallel to the side panels of the system control

cabinet.

WARNING: Danger from heavy weight

As the DC power modules are very heavy, never handle or lift them on your own.

WARNING: Possible damage to DC power modules

Check the DC power modules and their plug-in contacts for external damage.

Non-compliance with these notes can lead to faulty system behavior or system failure.

Please note:

• Before removing a DC power module, check the remaining output power of the remain-

ing DC power modules. If the load requirement exceeds the maximum load of the re-

maining DC power modules, the system operates within power limitation. Values

specified via the CAN bus might then not be implemented any more.

• Only handle the DC power modules using the original carrying handles. The carrying

handles are supplied as standard.

• Even if the system is switched off, voltage may be present in the system. Please refer

to “Disconnecting the system” on page 66.

• Always equip the DC power modules from bottom to top.

• Unequipped module shafts have to be closed with a blind cover.
