7 Maintenance

7.1 Safety notes regarding maintenance

DANGER: Danger to life from electric shock

The system is operated at high voltages.

Perform any work on the system in compliance with DGUV regulation 3 or national

regulations.

Terminal blocks can be live even if the system is switched off.

DANGER: Potentially lethal voltages are still present after disconnecting and

switching off the system

Touching cables and terminal blocks in the system can lead to severe injuries or

death.

Even after disconnection from the power supply network, some parts in the system re-

main live for ten minutes.

You have to observe all safety regulations and currently applicable technical connec-

tion conditions of the responsible utility and the DGUV regulation 3 as well as national

regulations.

DANGER: Danger to life from electric shock

The system is also operated at high battery voltage and high power.

The system has to be completely disconnected from all supply voltages before any

work is carried out.

DANGER: Hazard from short circuit or spark formation

Severe injuries when touching or connecting live components. Use insulated tools.

Observe the following precautions before carrying out any work:

– The recruited staff has to be “AuS-certified” (German certification for live working) or

have an equivalent certification.

– Remove wristwatches, rings, and other metal parts.

– Only use insulated tools.

– Do not disassemble the system.

– Approved replacement parts can only be obtained from the manufacturer or service

partner. For service partner contact information, refer to “Contact for services” on

page 87. The manufacturer's contact data can be found in the imprint and on the rear

side of this manual.

– To disconnect the system, proceed as described in “Disconnecting the system” on

page 66.

– Avoid impurities in the supply air. If the large fans in the front of the DC power module

suck in impurities, these immediately get into the DC power module and might cause

short circuits. As a result, the DC power module fails completely.

– Never use compressed air. Dust particles could get inside the system and cause mal-

functions.
