6.3 Inserting DC power modules

DANGER: Danger to life from missing protective equipment

When working on the system, observe the correct scope and condition of your per-

sonal protective equipment.

DANGER: Danger to life from damaged plug-in contacts

Check the plug-in contacts of the DC power modules for external damage.

If the grounding contact is damaged, there is a risk of electric shock from discharge

current.

WARNING: Risk of crushing when inserting or removing the DC power mod-

ules

There is a danger of crushing your fingers while inserting or removing the DC power

modules. Push or pull the DC power module in parallel to the side panels of the system

control cabinet.

WARNING: Danger from heavy weight

As the DC power modules are very heavy, never handle or lift them on your own.

NOTE: System failure resulting from damaged DC power modules

Check the DC power modules and their plug-in contacts for external damage. Dam-

age can lead to faulty system behavior or system failure.

Please note:

• Only handle the DC power modules using the original carrying handles. The carrying

handles are supplied as standard.

• The DC power modules have to be equipped from bottom to top.

• Unequipped module shafts have to be closed with a blind cover.

Inserting DC power modules

1. Check the DC power module and its plug-in contacts for external

damage.

2. Switch off the DC power module

using the pushbutton in the front

plate.

On = Pushbutton pushed in (pushbutton pressed)

Off = Pushbutton not pushed in (pushbutton protruding)
