5 Installation

5.1 Safety notes for installation

DANGER: Danger to life from electric shock

• Switch off all connections (AC and DC range).

• Make sure that none of the supplies can be switched on again.

• Before installation, check that there is no voltage present.

• Ensure correct grounding before connecting the power grid.

• When working on the system, observe the correct scope and condition of your personal

protective equipment.

• Do not install damaged components.

5.2 Damage to the system

The polarity or the mains supply (L and N) as well as the polarity of the DC output must not

be mixed up. Wrong polarity can damage the system.

Observe the technical connection conditions by your grid operator.

Affix a clear inscription to each disconnect device. The inscription has to contain information

on how to disconnect the entire system from the power supply.

To ensure correct installation, we recommend to have the service partner's installation staff

carry out installation. They will take on complete mounting and installation, including plan-

ning and startup. Call the service partner's helpdesk on the specified numbers or send your

request by e-mail. For service partner contact information, refer to “Contact for services” on

page 87.

During installation, cover the system to protect it against contamination. Every type of con-

tamination, especially conductive contamination, can lead to an irreparable total failure of

the system or the DC power modules.
