1.5 Fire protection

Fire, naked flames, and smoking are prohibited in the service room. Do not store flammable

or explosive material in the service room.

Instruct the operating and maintenance staff regularly and verifiably regarding the behavior

in case of a fire in accordance with DIN VDE 0132 and applicable national regulations.

Risk of fatal electric shock when extinguishing fires

– Use CO

or fire class B extinguishing agents.

– Only use water or extinguishing foam in accordance with DIN VDE 0132 or national

standards.

Rules for preventing and fighting fires

– Only fight fires in electrical systems in accordance with DIN VDE 0132 or national stan-

dards.

– For fire prevention, regularly maintain electrical systems in accordance with

DIN VDE 0100-600, IEC 60364-6, IEC 60364-7-729 and national regulations.

In case of odor or smoke development or in case of a fire

– In case of odor or smoke development or in case of a fire, disconnect the system imme-

diately following the regulations.

– Inform the person responsible for the system and the maintenance staff and start fire-

fighting measures.

– Rescuing persons comes before rescuing material.

– Alert the fire brigade and rescue teams.

1.6 Emergency plan

Force majeure or misconduct during operation of the system can result in exceptional con-

ditions. Critical operating states may occur.

It has to be described on site how the responsible persons have to act in the event of an in-

cident. This prevents damage or longer interruptions of charging.

The emergency plan has to consider the conditions at the installation location and the

design of the entire system.

– The manufacturer recommends that the operator creates an emergency plan.

– The manufacturer does not provide a standardized emergency plan.

– On request, the manufacturer will assist the operator in creating an emergency plan.
