11. Universal Access
11.1. Universal Access Settings
(Home) > Settings > Universal access
With Universal Access switched on, the TV is prepared
for use for the deaf, hard of hearing, blind or partially
sighted people.
Switch on universal access settings
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Universal
access > On.
Universal access for hearing impaired people
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Hearing
impaired > On
• Some digital TV channels broadcast special audio and
subtitles adapted for the hard of hearing or deaf
people.
• Switched on, the TV automatically switches to the
adapted audio and subtitles, if available.
Universal access for blind or partially sighted people
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Audio
description > Audio description > On
Digital TV channels can broadcast special audio
commentary describing what is happening on screen.
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Audio
description > Mixed volume, Audio effects, Speech
• Select Mixed volume, you can mix the volume of the
normal audio with the audio commentary. Press
the arrows (Right) or (Left) to adjust the value.
• Set Audio effect to On for extra audio effects in the
commentary audio, like stereo or fading sound.
• Select Speech to set speech
preference, Descriptive or Subtitles.
Dialogue enhancement
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Dialogue
enhancement
Increase the intelligibility of dialogue and commentary.
Only available when sound setting Clear dialogue is On
and audio stream is AC-4.
Voice guidance
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Voice
guidance
Switch on to enable Voice guidance feature using the
text to speech engine. The feature is only available in
selected languages.
Set the Speech rate or Speech volume
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Speech rate /
Speech volume
When (Home) > Settings > Universal access > Voice
guidance is switched on, select Speech rate or Speech
volume to set the speed or volume at which the text is
spoken.
Text magnification
(Home) > Settings > Universal access > Text
magnification
Turn on to magnify texts on the screen.
11.2. More Access Settings
Keyboard and mouse settings
(Home) > Settings > General settings > USB keyboard
settings
To install the USB keyboard, switch on the TV and
connect the USB keyboard to one of
the USB connections on the TV. When the TV detects
the keyboard for the first time, you can select your
keyboard lay-out and test your selection.
(Home) > Settings > General settings > Mouse
settings
Adjust the motion speed of the USB mouse.
Wired and wireless headphones settings
You can connect a set of headphones to
the connection on the side of the TV. The
connection is a mini-jack 3.5mm. You can adjust the
volume of the headphones separately.
To play the TV sound on Bluetooth® wireless
headphones, you must pair the device with the TV.
To pair a Bluetooth® device with the TV:
1 - Switch on the Bluetooth® device and place it within
range of the TV.
