Automatic Needle Threader
The needle threader allows you to thread the needle
automatically. The needle must be in the up position to
use the needle threader.
1. Press the presser foot down button, followed by the
needle up button to make sure they are in the correct
position.
2. Place the thread under the hook (A) and pull it
between the discs (B) until it “clicks” into place.
3. Pull the thread up to the thread cutter (C) and cut
excess thread by pulling the thread from back to
front into the thread cutter.
4. At the left side of the sewing machine is the needle
threader lever (D). In a rapid movement, push the
lever down and release it. The needle threader will
be lowered and thread the needle.
5. Pull out about 4" (10cm) of thread beyond the needle
eye. Press the presser foot up button to raise the
presser foot. Place the thread under the presser foot.
The needle threader is designed to be used with needles size 70-120. You cannot use the needle threader with needles
size 65 or smaller, wing needles, twin needles or triple needles.
Specialty threads such as invisible and other stretchy threads, metallic or flat metallic threads, and some heavy weight
threads may not be caught correctly by the hook on the needle threader. If this happens, the needle will not be threaded.
Try using the needle threader again or thread the needle manually.
When threading the needle manually, make sure that the needle is threaded from front to back.
Selecting Correct Thread/Needle Combination
The combination of the thread weight and the needle size is extremely important when using the needle threader.
Unsuitable combinations, such as using a heavy weight thread for a fine needle, may cause damage to the needle threader.
Avoid using fine needles with heavy fabrics to reduce the risk of bending the needle. Using the needle threader with a
bent needle may cause damage to the needle threader.
