■ Guide Number (GN)
Guide numbers indicate flash light intensity.
The larger the number, the farther the flash
light can reach. From the guide number, you
can easily obtain the proper aperture setting
required for an optimum exposure.
Example:
With an 85 mm lens at F5.6 and sensitivity
at ISO400
1 For the sensitivity at ISO400, the guide
number is 40.
2 40 (guide number) /5.6 (aperture) =
approx. 7m (max. distance)
3 7m (max. distance) /10 = 0.7m (min.
distance)
* The numbers used in this example are for
the K-series (APS-C).

フラッシュの発光量のことで、数字が大きい
程発光量が大きくなり、より遠くまで光が届
きます。ガイドナンバーから絞りを求めるに
は、次の式を使います。
例: 焦点距離85mmレンズを絞りF5.6で使
用する場合（感度（ISO）＝400に設定）
1 感度 400 の条件では、ガイドナン
バーは40になります。
2 最長距離：
40
（ガイドナンバー）÷
5.6
（絞り）＝約7m（最長距
離）
3 最短距離：7（最長距離）÷10＝0.7m
（最短距離）
※ガイドナンバーの数値は、Kシリーズ
（APS-C）の場合の数値です。
