Use of the downdraft
▷ Preferably cook with a lid on the pan; this reduces cooking odors and energy
consumption. An odour filter that is too moist due to water vapours, also reduces the
effectiveness of the odour filter. If desired, place the lid on the pan at an angle with the
opening to the exhaust side. This ensures optimal extraction.
