To cancel the outer zone, press the extendable zone key (7) to turn off the
second heating circuit, then select the desired power level by touching the
power adjusting keys.
Child Lock Function
You can use Childlock function to prevent unintended use (for example
children accidentally turning the cooking zones on).
To lock the controls
Touch the Childlock key (5) until the indicator show “Lo”.
To unlock the controls
1. Make sure the hob is turned on.
2. Touch and hold the Child lock key (5) for 3 seconds.
3. You can now start using your hob.
When the hob is in Child lock mode, all the controls are disable except the
main switch key, you can always turn the hob off with the main switch in an
emergency, but you shall unlock the hob first in the next operation.
Auto Shutdown
Safety feature of the hob is auto shut down. This occurs whenever you forget to
switch off a cooking zone. The default shutdown times are shown in the table
below:

Using the Timer (Only for HO33BC2, HO36AC4, HO36BC4,
HO377BC4, HO39BC5)
You can use the timer in two different ways:
You can use it as a minute minder. In this case, the timer will not turn any
cooking zone off when the set time is up.
You can use it as a cut off timer to turn one or more cooking zones off
when the set time is up.
You can set the timer up to 99 minutes.
