c) The splitting wedge must be positioned in the
sawing gap before it will work. For short cuts,
the splitting wedge is ineffective in preventing
kickback.
d) Do not operate the saw with a bent splitting
wedge. Even a minor fault can slow down the
closing of the blade guard.
Supplementary notes
■ Do not use any grinding discs.
■ Use only saw blades with diameters corres-
ponding to the label on the saw.
■ Always use the right saw blade for the material
being worked.
■ Use only saw blades with a speed marking
that corresponds to or is higher than the speed
specified for the power tool.
■ Saw blades that are intended for use on wood
or similar materials must comply with EN 847-1.
■ Do not allow the teeth of the saw blade to
overheat.
■ When sawing plastic, avoid melting the plastic.
■ Wear a dust mask when sawing.
■ Only use recommended saw blades.
■ Always wear hearing protection!

■ Only use the accessories and additional
equipment that are specified in the operating

Before use
Fitting/changing the saw blade
Always remove the plug from the power socket
before working on the appliance.
NOTE
► Position the base plate for this operation on
the edge of a stable surface so that the saw
blade
can be lowered.
1. Activate the safety lock-out
and push the
motor unit forwards a little way.
2. Open the clamping lever .
Then push the motor unit forward until you
hear the lock click into place. Release the safety
lock-out . The movement of the motor unit is
blocked upward and downward.
3. The clamping screw/washer

4. Press the spindle lock button (until it
engages) and use the hex key to release
the clamping screw/washer

5. Remove the saw blade .
NOTE
► Ensure that the factory-fitted flange X stays
in place during installation and removal
(see fig. A).

6. To fit a saw blade , carry out the above steps
in reverse order.
WARNING!
► The direction of rotation of the saw blade
and the machine must match.
