Using the appliance
Switching on and off
Switching on
♦ To switch the appliance on, push the ON/OFF
switch 1 forwards.
Switching off
♦ To switch off the appliance, push the ON/OFF
switch 1 backwards.
Speed preselection
♦ Select the required speed with the speed
control2.
Level 1: ca. 1300 rpm
Level 2: ca. 1670 rpm
Level 3: ca. 2280 rpm
Level 4: ca. 2890 rpm
Level 5: ca. 3400 rpm
Level 6: ca. 3880 rpm
Polishing
♦ Apply some polish to the attached polishing
pad 5 and the workpiece.
♦ Manually spread the polish over the surface
you want to polish.
NOTE
►
Do not apply the polish to the same surface
too often, as the particles it contains could
damage the finish.
► Mask any plastic components beforehand
as these could be faded by the polish.
♦ Guide the appliance across the workpiece
parallel to its surface.
♦ Switch the appliance on.
♦ Move the appliance parallel and evenly over
the surface being polished.
♦ Do not press the appliance down. Pressing
down hard does not improve the performance!
♦ When you are satisfied with the result, turn off
the appliance.
ATTENTION!
► Depending on the size and nature of the
workpiece, suitable safety precautions must
be taken. Use suitable clamps to prevent the
workpiece from slipping.
Operating instructions
■ Apply minimal pressure when working.
■ Work at a constant speed.
■ Carry out the polishing process parallel to the
surface and overlap the polishing strokes.
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING!
► Before working on the appliance, always
disconnect it from the mains.
The appliance is maintenance-free.
■ Always clean the appliance directly after
finishing work.
■ Use a dry cloth to clean the housing.
■ Never use sharp objects, petrol, solvents or
cleaning agents which can damage plastic. Do
not allow any liquids to get into the interior of
the appliance.
■ If the connecting cable needs to be replaced,
this must be carried out by the manufacturer or
an authorised representative in order to avoid
safety hazards.
