Appliance-specific safety instructions
■ This appliance may be used by
children aged 8 years and above
and by persons with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge,
provided that they are under super-
vision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware
of the potential risks. Do not allow
children to use the appliance as a
toy. Cleaning and user maintenance
tasks may not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.
■ To avoid potential risks, damaged
mains cables should be replaced
by the manufacturer, their customer
service department or a similarly
qualified person.
Before use
Attaching the stirrer rod
♦ Screw the stirrer 6 firmly onto the stirrer rod 5.
To do this, hold the stirrer 6 with one assembly
spanner 7 while using the second assembly
spanner 7 to tighten the stirrer rod 5 clock-
wise on the stirrer 6 (see fig. B).

Screw the stirrer rod
5 into the tool holder 8
(see fig. C). Use one assembly spanner 7 to
firmly hold the tool holder 8. Use the other as-
sembly spanner to
7 tighten the stirrer rod 5
clockwise in the tool holder 8 (see fig. D).
Removing the stirrer rod
♦ Use one assembly spanner 7 to firmly hold the
tool holder 8. Use the other assembly spanner
7 to turn the stirrer rod 5 anti-clockwise out
of the tool holder 8 to remove it from the appli-
ance.
Operation and use
Switching the appliance on/off
NOTE
► Check the mains voltage before connecting
the appliance to a power socket. The voltage
of the power source must correspond with the
details given on the type plate of the appli-
ance. Power tools labelled with 230 V can
also be operated on a 220 V power source.
Switching on
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch2 and keep it
pressed in.
♦ Press the lock switch
1 while holding the ON/
OFF switch 2 pressed to lock it for continuous
operation. Once the ON/OFF switch 2 is
locked, you can release it. The appliance will
continue to run.
Switching off
♦ Release the ON/OFF switch2.
♦ When the ON/OFF switch
2 is locked for
continuous operation, briefly press the ON/
OFF switch 2 to unlock it and switch off the
appliance.
Setting the rotational speed
♦ During operation, press the
+
button3 to
increase the speed.
♦ During operation, press the
‒ button4 to
decrease the speed.
