2. RECOMMENDATIONS TO BEAR IN MIND BEFORE INSTALLATION.
d) VENTILATION ENTILATION AND DRAUGHTS: All hood installations need a continuous air inlet with a
diameter at least equal to the outlet diameter of the motor, preferably opposite the hood and care should be
taken with other air inlets that could give rise to draughts that would reduce suction power. No air inlet will
cause problems of depression and atmospheric over-pressure making the hood motor perform badly and
significantly affecting suction performance.
CONDUIT ACCESSORIES (Optional).
OUTSIDE CONDUIT OUTLET (Not included): The outlet to the outside should have a hatch opening by air
pressure. Under no circumstances use gas grilles or others that could obstruct the free movement of air.
Neither should the exit to the outside be left uncovered, as this could give rise to the entrance of foreign
objects (water, strong wind, bird’s nests…) that could obstruct the airflow and damage the hood.
ONE-WAY VALVE (Not included): Only recommended for use in community installations, where several
conduits join into one, to avoid fume blowback and the entry of fumes and smells from other hoods, etc. Take
into account that these devices need maintenance by authorised professionals.
