Operating precautions
Do not use in the following locations
• Locations with high humidity, lots of oil, and vibrations/Locations exposed to direct
sunlight/Locations near a heat source/Locations where condensation occurs (This can
cause malfunction)
• Locations where noise occurs (This may cause incorrect operation)
Do not turn o the power except in cases of malfunctions or failures or for short periods
during maintenance and care.
The device does not work if the power is turned o and the alarm will not sound.
Immediately contact the place of purchase or the authorized service
centre if any of the following alarms sound or displays are shown:
If the LEDs on the R32 refrigerant leak alarm indicate “Leak detected”, “Leaks
recorded”, or “Refrigerant sensor error”, immediately contact the place of purchase or
the authorized service centre.
• When the R32 refrigerant leak alarm sounds an alarm, the manager who receives
the notication of this should contact the place of purchase or the authorized service
centre to request maintenance and repair of the refrigerant leak.
To the installer/manager of the plant
• Read the Installation Instructions supplied when installing.
• This product indicates that it has detected refrigerant leaks with an alarm and with
LEDs. Depending on the installation location of this product, if it is not possible for the
person responsible for the air conditioner system to be aware of a refrigerant leak,
separately prepare a system that makes it possible for the person in charge to be
made aware of refrigerant leaks.
A system that makes it possible for the person in charge to be made aware of refrigerant
leaks indicates a remote monitoring system, an organisational structure that facilitates
communication between the user and the person in charge, etc. When employing an
organisational structure that facilitates communication between the user and the person
in charge, use the supplied contacts labels or use some other method to ensure that the
contact for the person in charge is on display near the R32 refrigerant leak alarm.
• The person that discovers the alarm should immediately advise people in the vicinity
to contact the person in charge.
• For information about maintenance/inspections and replacement, refer to the
Installation Instructions, and the operating instructions for the indoor unit.
