IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PRECAUTIONS
1. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
2. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then unplug power cord from
outlet. Do not disconnect by pulling on cord.
3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Take the appliance to
the nearest Authorized Oster
®
Appliance Service Center for examination, repair
or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
4. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully, especially when removing the blades from
the container, emptying the container and during cleaning.
5. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food chopper as it can be ejected out of
the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

as:
• in shops, offi ces and other similar working environments;
• in farm houses;
• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
• in bed and breakfast type environments.
The rated frequency of this appliance is 50/60 Hz. No user adjustment for different
frequencies is possible or necessary.
