INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Insert the power plug into the main power socket.
2. Place the pot or pan on the center of the hot plate.
NOTE: Use only flat-bottomed cookware and ensure that both cookware and heating plates are
clean and dry.
3. Place the ingredients to be cooked in the pot or pan.
4. Turn the temperature control knob to the required setting (0 = OFF, 1 is the lowest temperature, 5 is
the highest temperature) and adjust during cooking as necessary.
5. The indicator light will turn on and the appliance will start heating. When the set temperature level is
reached, the indicator light will turn off.
NOTE: During operation, the indicator light will flash on and off. This indicates that the heating
element is turning on and off to maintain the set temperature. This is a normal feature and not a
malfunction.
1. Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to “0” and unplug the appliance.
2. Note: Always turn off the appliance after each cooking.
3. Lift the pot or pan from the warming plate and remove the food from the pot or pan.
Cooking Tips
• High-quality cookware with a heavy, flat base will have better contact with the cooktop and help produce
the best cooking results.
• Cookware with uneven or thin bases will increase cooking time, especially when boiling.
• Do not use round-bottomed woks, wok supports or similar curved-bottomed cookware as these may
cause the hob to overheat and damage the appliance, and the reflected heat from protruding woks may
cause burns and a possible fire hazard on the surrounding hob surface.
• Use cookware that is slightly larger than or equal in size to the heating plate. If the diameter of the pan is
smaller than the cooking plate, energy may be wasted. Oversized cookware causes inefficiency and uneven
heating.
• Always place cookware in the center of the warming plate for fast and efficient cooking.
• Start cooking at a high temperature and reduce the temperature when the food has heated through.
• It is recommended to use a lid whenever practical to save energy.
• The heating plates will remain hot for quite some time after the appliance has been switched off. To save
energy, switch off the appliance before the end of cooking, use the residual heat to keep food warm or to
dry potatoes or rice.
