Freezing Fresh Food
• When freezing food, it's important to use fresh and undamaged
items. For optimal nutritional value, flavour, and colour retention,
vegetables should be blanched before freezing, except for
eggplants, capsicums, zucchinis, and asparagus.
• Suitable foods for freezing include cakes, pastries, fish, seafood,
meat, game, poultry, vegetables, fruit, herbs, shell-less eggs,
dairy products like cheese and butter, ready meals, and leftovers

soufflés, and desserts.
• However, foods such as lettuce, radishes, eggs in shells,
grapes, whole apples, pears, and peaches, hard-boiled eggs,
