You may be able to pinpoint problem areas on the return side by retesting. For example - by removing the return line near the fuel regulator and putting the

fuel line into a proper container, a retest that still shows a high reading would indicate a faulty regulator. If the reading would drop into the normal range,

you know that problem is further down the return line or the tank. Again, always consult the manufacturer of the vehicle, or a good workshop manual for

specic trouble-shooting procedures. When testing is completed, make sure the fuel line is reassembled correctly. Replace any o-rings or washers, and

follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for proper torque on any bolts or connections. Check the entire system thoroughly for any leaks.

1. SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

1.1. Sicherheit im Umgang mit Kraftsto

• Achtung! Bei der Arbeit mit Einspritzsystemen und generell mit Kraftsto sind die örtlich geltenden Vorschriften, Gesundheits- und

Sicherheitsvorschriften und die allgemeinen Arbeitsprinzipien der Werkstatt unbedingt zu beachten.

• Achtung! Benzindämpfe und Batteriegas sind explosiv. Rauchen, oene Flammen und Funken sind am Arbeitsplatz nicht erlaubt.

1.1.1 Kraftstoeckagen

– Ein chemischer Pulverlöscher (Klasse B) sollte sich in der Nähe des Arbeitsplatzes benden.

– Brandgefahren sind durch vorsichtiges Trennen von Kraftstoeitungen und den Einbau von Adaptern zu vermeiden, da kleine Verschüttungen

unvermeidlich sind.

– Wenn Sie das Kraftstosystem anschließen oder trennen, lassen Sie den Druck im System ab und wickeln Sie ein Tuch um den Anschluss der

Kraftstoeitung, um den verschütten Kraftsto aufzunehmen. Überprüfen Sie das Messgerät und die Adapteranschlüsse ständig auf Dichtheit.

Wenn Sie eine Undichtigkeit feststellen, schalten Sie die Zündung oder die Kraftstopumpe aus, lassen Sie bei Bedarf den Kraftstodruck ab und

beseitigen Sie die Undichtigkeit, bevor Sie den Betrieb wieder aufnehmen.

– Bei Verwendung von T-Stücken den Schlauch mit Schlauchschellen sichern, um eine dichte Verbindung zu gewährleisten.

– Überprüfen Sie vor Gebrauch, ob alle Unterlegscheiben und O-Ringe in gutem Zustand sind.

– Beim Anschluss des Schlauchanschlusses an die Prüfönung, T-Stücke und Hohlschraubenadapter ist darauf zu achten, dass er ordnungsgemäß

auf dem Adapter sitzt.
