4. Adjust the settings of the device to
suit your individual needs (see the
“Functional Overview and Operating
Elements” chapter).
5. If the device is no longer going to be
used, switch off the device via the
Power fi eld and pull the mains plug out
of the plug socket.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■ The activated carbon fi lter and the
HEPA fi lter cannot and must not be
cleaned. Only the pre-fi lter can be
cleaned.
■ Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
○ Make sure that the device is not
connected to the mains power.
○ Wipe down the device with a soft,
damp cloth.
○ Store the device in a clean, dry place
which is protected from dust and is out
of the reach of children and animals
when it is not in use.
CLEANING THE PARTICULATE
SENSOR
The particulate sensor should be cleaned
regularly (roughly every two months) in
order to ensure that the device works in
the optimum way.
1. Use a soft brush to remove dust
from the protective cover (5) of the
particulate sensor.
2. Press the locking lug towards the
protective cover and take off the
protective cover.
3. Clean the sensor and the air inlet and
outlet of the sensor with a damp cloth
or cotton bud (Picture F).
4. Then dry everything with a dry cloth or
cotton bud.
5. Insert the protective cover into the
main unit (3). You must hear and feel it
engage.
CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER
The pre-fi lter (16) should be cleaned
regularly (roughly every two months) in
order to ensure that the device works in
the optimum way.
1. Remove the fi lter cover (17) from the
main unit (3) (see the “Before Initial
Use” chapter).
2. Hold the pre-fi lter by its handles and
pull it out of the main unit.
3. Remove coarse dirt from the pre-fi lter
with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner
(on a low setting).
4. Clean the pre-fi lter with warm water
and a little detergent. Then rinse under
running water.
5. Allow the pre-fi lter to dry completely
before it is inserted back into the
main unit (see the “Before Initial Use”
chapter).
CLEANING THE UV-C LAMP
Please Note!
■ The UV-C lamp will become hot during
use. Allow the UV-C lamp to cool
suffi ciently after using the device.
There is a danger of burns!
1. Take the fi lter cover (17) off the main
unit (3).
2. Remove the fi lters from the main unit
(see the “Before Initial Use” chapter).
