4.2.14 Aligning the headstock spindle with the tailstock
centre:
Before you start working with the device, the spindle and
the tailstock centre must be aligned. To do that, bring the
tailstock centre as close as possible to the spindle and
check whether they are ush with one another. If not,
loosen the spindle locking screws, rotate the spindle until
it is in one line with the tailstock centre, then tighten the
spindle locking screws:
4.2.16 Stock preparation for mounting to the tailstock
centre:
Find the centre of the block:
Drill a hole of the depth of 5mm at the intersection of the
lines, using a 1/8"diameter drill. To make the workpiece
safer for processing, draw a circle and cut o the corners
of the block, if they protrude beyond the circle more than
a minimum of 50 mm:
4.2.17 Removing the tailstock handwheel:
Before commencing work, after having properly set
the machine and all its elements, remove the tailstock
handwheel lock screw and then remove the handwheel:
4.2.18 Mounting the machine to the ground:
Place the machine on the ground and mark the position
of the bed stand holes on the ground. Drill holes in the
marked places. Fix the machine with screws.
4.3 Device use
MSW-WL450 / MSW-WL1000:
Set the speed, place the workpiece in the machine as
described in the paragraphs in the chapter above. Using
the switch, turn on the machine. After you nish operating
the device, switch it o with the button and disconnect
the power cable. For the MSW-WL1000 model, ensure to
remove the tailstock handwheel.
4.4 Cleaning and maintenance
• Always unplug the device before cleaning it and after
each use.
• Use cleaners without corrosive substances to clean
each surface.
• Remove all the dust and dirt produced with a clean
cloth or blow them with a low-pressure compressed
air.
• Any contamination should be removed every day
after work is ended.
• Lubricate all moving parts with good quality motor
oil, at least once a week.
4.2.15 Mounting the workpiece against the faceplate:
For processing larger workpieces, they must be mounted
against the faceplate. To do that, place the faceplate in the
workpiece centre and screw it on using the round head
screws:
