IV. Hydraulic pump components
The pump consists of the following components:
1. Lever – for generating hydraulic pressure.
2. Pump body – the main cylinder where pressure is generated.
3. Hydraulic hose – used to transfer pressure to an external device (e.g., a cylinder).
4. Hose connector – a metal component that connects the pump to the hydraulic system.
5. Base – stabilizes the device during operation.
6. Release valve – allows the release of accumulated pressure.
V. Device operation
1. Connecting the pump hose:
o Connect the pump hose to a cylinder or other device requiring hydraulic power
by

crewing the connector nut onto the thread. Ensure the nut is securely tightened.
2. Closing the release valve:
o Turn the release valve clockwise.
3. Generating pressure:
o Move the pump lever up and down to create pressure in the system.
4. Reducing pressure:
o To release pressure, turn the release valve counterclockwise. Once the valve is
opened, the powered device will return to its resting position automatically.
5. Work safety:
o Do not disassemble the hydraulic system while under pressure.
VI. Maintenance and cleaning
• After completing work, ensure the release valve is open and the system is no longer
under pressure, then disconnect the device from the hydraulic system.
• Wipe the pump body and hose with a damp cloth to remove dirt.
• Regularly inspect the hose and connectors for leaks.
• Refill hydraulic oil as needed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
